To support parking in a proper parking section in the case wherein a plurality of parking sections are available in a parking area.
A control section 10 of a navigation device 1 determines whether one's own vehicle is going to park in the parking area or not, and in the case of YES, the control section 10 outputs a control signal for controlling each camera 2 to each camera 2, and obtains photographed images of the periphery of the one's own vehicle by receiving an image signal output from each camera 2. On the basis of these images, the control section 10 synthesizes an around view image looking down the all around of the one's own vehicle. When a user appoints any one of the vacant parking sections in the around view image with the operation of an input device 17, the control section 10 supports the one's own vehicle to park in that parking section.
