PURPOSE: To reduce kinds of transfer action when a part is inserted and to shorten tact time by performing turning motion of an arm and vertical motion of a vertically moving block including the arm in a single motion owing to the same drive power supply.
CONSTITUTION: A combining part 21 fed from a parts feeder 18 is grasped by the finger 17a of a hand 17 and a cylinder rod 4a is given a retreating action by operation an air cylinder 4. A straight cam 2 is then slid backwards and a rack 10 is also moved backwards even if it is pulled by a tension spring 11 causing an arm 13 to rotate. The arm 13 abuts on a stopper 14a and stops but, when the cylinder rod 4a is further operated, a cam follower 16 descends along a slope 2a of the straight cam 2 and a vertical motion block 6 also descends thereby causes the fitting part 21 to be inserted into a fitting body 20.
