Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent any refocusing and adhesion between strands by winding them so as to make each strand into a state of being crossed with at least another one strand at least one time in one traverse process.

CONSTITUTION: Glass fiber filaments 12 spun out of a nozzle hole of a bushing 11 are focused to plural numbers of strands 15a-15c by a focussing member 14 after being applied with a focusing agent with an applicator roller 13, and wounded on a winding pipe 18. At this time, these strands 15a-15c are caught in respective guide holes 21a-21c of a traverse guide 16 and moved, and they are wound up as traversing in a state of being separated from each other at an intermediate position, but at a traverse end, the strand 15a outruns other strands 15b, 15c and turned over by the guide holes 21a-21c due to a fact that tension and length of the strand itself are different from each other, thereby forming each of intersections A, B. Thus, separability at time of releasing can be favorably held.
