Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06144340
Kind Code:

CONSTITUTION: A pad partition part 16a is composed of a component for adjusting squealing tones or a grabbing state to obtain a stability. A pad partition part 16b is composed of a component for exhibiting a stop force due to high friction. The pad partition part 16a occupies most (about 60%) of the length of a brake shoe pad 16. The lower surface of the pad 16 is flat as shown by a line 20 showing a brake surface or the surfaces of the two pad partition parts 16a and 16b engaging with the rim are located in a common plane. The prescribed effect of each of the pad partition parts 16a and 16b is achieved when the surfaces of both the brake shoe pad partition parts simultaneously engage with the rim.
