Abstract:
PURPOSE:To convert data for an electronic computer into data for facsimile by making the most of individual features, by converting a Chinese character pattern stored in the main memory unit of the electronic computer into a code for facsimile transmission. CONSTITUTION:In memory circuit 11, row or column data of conversion data differing in format are stored and the row or column data read out of this memory circuit 11 is converted into lateral prescribed byte data by longitudinal-lateral converting circuit 12. Continuous bits of one attribute of the row or column converted data obtained by converting circuit 12 are counted by counting circuit 13 and the data is compressed by compressing circuit 14 from the number of bits counted by circuit 13 to the random number of bits. States of those converting circuit 12, circuit 13 and compressing circuit 14 are identified by control circuit 15, which controls the operations of respective circuits. Then, converting circuit 12 converts one character row or column of data and the converted data is checked to compress the data by circuit 13, so that the converted data having individual features emphasized can be obtained.
