Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide technique for easily constituting a pattern recognition device which can recognize a pattern having a complex distribution.
CONSTITUTION: This device includes a 1st decision means 12 which performs switching so that a recognition result obtained by processing the output of a 1st neural circuit 11 and the recognition result of a distance calculating means 10 are regarded as a final recognition result 13 when the recognition results matches an output obtained by processing an input pattern by the 1st neural circuit 11 and distances at every categorie or the input pattern is recognized by a 2nd neural circuit 14 when the recognition results do not match them or when at least one of the recognition result is rejected, and a 2nd decision means 15 which uses a result obtained by processing the output of the highest- order output device of the 2nd neural circuit 14 as the final recognition result 16.
