PURPOSE: To reduce the total driving power associated with a microorganismic reaction and membraneous sepn. by providing a means for stirring the soln. mixture in a microorganism treating tank in a place exclusive of the place where the membrane module in the above-mentioned tank is immersed.
CONSTITUTION: The membrane module 13 which filters and separates the soln. mixture subjected to a microorganism treatment is immersed into the liquid in the microorganism treating tank 11 for making the microorganism treatment of sewage. An air diffusion pipe 15 for aeration is provided below this membrane module 13 so that the soln. mixture can be sucked to the outside of the tank from the membrane module 13 or taken out by the water pressure in the tank. The device 21 for stirring the soln. mixture in the tank 11 is provided in the place exclusive of the place where the membrane module 13 in the microorganism treating tank 11 is immersed. Consequently, the total driving power associated with the microorganismic reaction and membraneous sepn. is decreased.
