Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a pay broadcasting system which can directly manage respective decoders at a broadcasting station corresponding to individual informa tion or control information even in the case of reception at a CATV or an apartment co-viewing system.
CONSTITUTION: A repeater to transmit pay satellite broadcasting received through an antenna to a connected cable is provided with a descramble means 39 to descramble the audio signals of the pay satellite broadcasting, packet means 45 to make signals or the like related to the descramble into packets, first multiplex means 51 to multiplex the made packets during the vertical blanking period of the video signals of the pay satellite broadcasting and to output them, and second multiplex means 53 to multiplex the frequency of the video signals multiplexed by the first multiplex means 51 and that of audio signals and to transmit them to the cable.
