Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize a pedestal of a clock for holding a gem which can ensure a standing-up state of the gem mounted on a second hand shaft, causes no fault in a hand operation and is excellent in mass production properties, in the clock with the gem.
CONSTITUTION: A pedestal 10 of a clock for holding a gem is a cut article of brass and has a main part 11 of the pedestal, four pawl parts 12 standing upward integrally from this main-body part 11 of the pedestal and formed at an interval of 90° along the circumference and an insertion shaft part 13 projecting downward integrally from the center of the base side of the pedestal 11 of the pedestal. A shaft hole 13a in which a second hand shaft 20 on the clock side is inserted and fitted is formed in the shaft part 13 and, besides, deep cut-off parts 14 for exposing the gem are provided between the adjacent pawl parts 12. The pedestal has tapered surfaces S1 and S2.
