Title:
CASTING REFRACTORY MATERIAL FOR PRELIMINARY TREATMENT VESSEL OF MOLTEN IRON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3176832
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a casting refractory material for a preliminary treatment vessel of a molten iron capable of relaxing a thermal stress generated at the heating stage in a low temperature range during the dehydration and drying period and initial temperature elevation period without damaging a corrosion resistance and a spalling resistance of the constructed body, and aiming at the prevention of pushing-out and peeling-off phenomena.
SOLUTION: This casting refractory material is obtained by adding 1-5wt.% out of total coarse pitch having 1-10mm particle diameter and 250°C softening point to 100wt.% refractory composition consisting of refractory aggregates containing silicone carbide and carbon, and a binder. It is preferable for the coarse pitch to have 255-400°C softening point.
