Abstract:
To provide a phosphor which reduces the color shading of released light in between a plurality of light-emitting devices, can emit green light capable of constituting the white light of a light-emitting device, and has a specific peak wavelength and a light-emitting device using the same.
The phosphor comprises at least silicon, oxygen, and nitrogen and is activated by europium and absorbs ultraviolet rays to blue light to be able to emit green light. This phosphor is represented by the formula: LxSiyOaN[(2/3)x+(4/3)y-(2/3)a]:Eu, and L is at least one element selected from Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba, and x, y, and a meet 1.5x2.5, 1.5y2.5, and 1.5a4.5, respectively.
