PURPOSE: To provide the subject adhesive consisting of a specific photocurable material, a solid polyvinylacetal and a photoinitiator, useful for producing a data holding laminate of a photograph for an identification card or a laminated passport and not contaminating or discoloring ink.

CONSTITUTION: The objective adhesive contains a photocurable material (A) having more than one acrylic group per molecule on average and containing 20 or more wt.% of an urethane acrylate (a reaction product of an isocyanate terminated polyurethane prepolymer and a hydroxy-containing acrylic compd.) and/or a polyester acrylate (a reaction product of an acrylic compd. having a hydroxyl reactive group such as carboxyl or epoxy and a hydroxyl terminated polyester), a solid film forming component of a solid polyvinylacetal (pref. polyvinylbutyral) (B) and a polymn. initiator of a photoinitiator (e.g.; a mixture of two or more components such as α-substd. acetophenone, thioxanthone and the like) (C).
