PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost photographic film package such that external light entering from open end portions are surely blocked so that a used photographic film enclosed therein is not exposed.

CONSTITUTION: Protruding streaks 14, 15 are formed by embossing at both ends of an opening 16 formed through a shielding envelope 4. Because the ends of the shielding envelope 4 where the protruding streaks 14, 15 are formed are increased in thickness, they are strongly held by shielding clips 5. The open end portions of the shielding envelope 4 are therefore held more strongly so that external light is prevented from entering the shielding envelope 4.
