Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a thin antenna which has non-directivity for a vertically polarized wave in a horizontal plane by branching the conductor of the plane antenna, which has a dielectric charged between two conductor planes and is made thin, from the impedance matching point in a through hole.
CONSTITUTION: A radiation electrode 11 and an earth electrode 12 are short- circuited by a conductor 14 inserted through a through hole 13 formed in a dielectric substrate 10. A metallic bar is used as the conductor 14, and its end parts are connected and fixed to electrodes 11 and 12 by soldering or the like. A conductor 15 is branched from this conductor 14 at the impedance matching point and is pulled out to the lower face of the hole 13 and is insulated from the earth electrode 12 and is connected to the inner conductor of a coaxial cable. Thus, the thin antenna having non-directivity for a vertically polarized wave is obtained.
