Abstract:
To provide a polymer or a polymer mixture (a binder) suitable for application of a plastisol that is produced from a well-known plastisol formulation as a starting material and has improved mechanical properties in the resulting plastisol, for example, improved oxidation resistance and improved adhesion to a thin plate for a vehicle body.
The polymer or the polymer mixture (the binder) suitable for application of the plastisol is composed of a mixture comprising at least two kinds of MMA (methyl methacrylate) copolymers wherein a component A contains an epoxy group-containing comonomer and a component B contains a compound which nucleophilically reacts with an epoxy group-containing monomer of the component A during the gelation process.
