Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a first print time(FPT) further beyond the present FPT by setting the operating time at which the rotation for winding of a finished master is started by a printing drum in the highest speed/optimum mode, in accordance with a plate-making area size, in a subscan direction, for plate- making in response to the image area of a manuscript.
SOLUTION: The amount of deflection of a plate-making finished master is stored in advance as data in ROM 92 in accordance with a paper size LS so that the rotation for winding of the master is started in the highest speed timing mode. A main control device 90 variably controls the start of the rotation for winding of the plate-making finished master by a printing drum in the highest speed/optimal timing mode, while referring to the data stored in ROM 92, in compliance with the paper size LS detected by size detection sensors 47, 48.
