Abstract:
PURPOSE:To promote the extension of a life preventing the generation of a groove crack by providing grooves, traversing the peripheral direction, so as to form blocks in a tread of a tire and forming the groove into a specific midnarrowed shape while a notch in a side surface of this groove. CONSTITUTION:A tire forms in its tread surface many blocks 3 to be partitioned by lug grooves 1 traversing the peripheral direction and longitudinal grooves 2 along the peripheral direction. In this structure, the lug groove 1 forms a section of midnarrowed shape in which a width of the groove gradually decreases toward the bottom of the groove from the tread surface further gradually increases from the halfway. And the lug groove 1 forms in its side wall many notches 4. Here, each notch 4 sets its width (t) to 8%-45% tread surface width A of the lug groove 1 further the depth DT to not less than the minimum width position (d) of the lug groove 1 further to 90% or less the depth D of the lug groove 1, while a pitch P of the notch is set to 1.0-4.0% tread developed width W.
