To provide a pointer type instrument capable of suppressing occurrence of vibration sounds.

The pointer type instrument comprises a pointer 3; an annular moving member 2 having a first gear train 21 in the internal circumference, that supports the pointer 3; a rotating member 52 having a second train 53 engaging with the first gear train 21 that is provided in the internal circumference of the annular moving member 2; a driving device 5 that rotates the pointer 3 through the annular moving member 2 by rotating the rotating member 52 through a driving shaft 51; and a supporting member arranged with intervals in the rotation direction so as to contact the internal circumference of the annual moving member 2 while supporting the pointer 3. In the instrument, the supporting member has a first supporting member 43 movable in both directions of the internal and the external circumference of the annual moving member 2 and a second supporting member 44 movable in only the external circumference direction of the annual moving member 2, and the second supporting member 44 is arranged between the rotating member 52 and the first pointing member 43.
