To provide a polishing cloth clamping device surely fixing a polishing cloth without causing any damage to the polishing cloth and to provide a game ball lifting and polishing device using this clamping device.

This polishing cloth clamping device is provided with a resistant body 124, a pressing rod member 123 with a substantially circular arc cross section in a contact position and journalled eccentrically, and an operation handle 125 turning the pressing rod member 123 so as to move the pressing rod member 123 between a clamping position for pressing the rod member 123 to the resistant body 124 and a releasing position for separating the rod member 123 from the resistant body 124. The pressing rod member 123 and the resistant body 124 are brought into mutual contact via their faces when the pressing rod member 123 is displaced to the clamping position. The surface of the resistant body 124 is conditioned so that a static frictional force working between it and a polishing cloth belt 100 and it is increased above a maximum tension applied to the polishing cloth belt 100 in lifting a game ball when the polishing cloth belt 100 is clamped between the resistant body 124 and the pressing rod member 123 shifted to the clamping position.
