PURPOSE: To provide a polyaniline battery with inner shortcircuit caused by corrosion at the surface of a positive pole collector prevented in spite of fluorine-including lithium salt used for electrolyte of electrolyte liquid and having a good safety and durability by putting a specified thin film layer on the inner surface side of the positive pole collector consisting of stainless steel.
CONSTITUTION: A dish-formed positive pole terminal plate 1 consisting of a stainless steel having Au plating layer 1a at the inner surface and a dish-formed negative pole terminal plate 2 consisting of general stainless steel are put facing each other, and edge parts of both are engaged and fitted with each other with a circular gasket 3 consisting of resilient insulation material such as synthetic rubber and synthetic resin between them, so a flat sealed container is composed. By thus forming a thin film layer of Au at least at contact parts of a positive pole collector with the positive pole and electrolyte, so a self- discharge by inner shortcircuit caused by corrosion and elusion of the positive pole collector is less likely to occur in spite of high voltage discharge and repetition of charge/discharge, thereby a polyaniline battery having a good durability and a long life can be obtained.
