Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to wind a layer of active material paste without its peeling or removal from a core plate by winding both with the layer of active material paste on the outer side.

CONSTITUTION: A belt of a MH pole plate 1 is used, and a belt of an anode plate, that is a sintered Ni pole plate, laminated with it on the side of its hydrogen storage alloy layer 1b through a belt of a separator, is wound around a winding shaft. In the winding work, if the belt of the MH pole plate 1 is wound with the surface of its hydrogen storage alloy layer 1b on the outer side, compression stress at the time of winding is not applied to the hydrogen storage alloy layer 1b, so it can be wound stably and preferably without peeling or removal or alloy grains from a mesh core plate by the compression stress.
