Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester filament having good yarn properties, capable of maintaining excellent wet heat resistant properties for a long period and capable of being industrially readily produced, and further to provide its production method.
SOLUTION: This polyester filament consists of a composition obtained by adding 0.1-30 wt.% polymer having an ethylene component and a glycidyl methacrylate component, 0.01-10 wt.% polymer having the ethylene component and an acrylic ester component, and 0.3-2.0 wt.% carbodiimide compound to a polyethylene terephthalate or a polyester consisting essentially of the polyethylene terephthalate, and has ≥1.4 relative viscosity and ≤10 eq./t amount of a terminal carboxyl group.
