To provide a polylactic acid composition having specific thermal characteristics and gas barrier properties and to further provide the polylactic acid composition of PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) with PDLA (poly-D-lactic acid) forming a polylactic acid stretched film and another molded product thereof having excellent surface smoothness, transparency, heat resistance and toughness.

The polylactic acid composition is characterized as having ≥30 mJ/mg peak in cooling (10°C/min) after the passage of 10 min at 250°C in DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) measurement. Furthermore, the polylactic acid composition is more preferably characterized as having ≤0.5 peak ratio (peak 1/peak 2) of the peak (peak 1) at Tm=150-180°C to the peak (peak 2) at Tm=200-240°C in DSC during measurement in 2nd-heating (re-heating from 0°C at a rate of 10°C/min which follows the cooling at a rate of 10°C/min conducted after the passage of 10 min at 250°C).
