Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide polymer powder particle having improved affinity and compatibility with resins. CONSTITUTION:The objective polymer powder particle is composed of a polymer having a glass-transition temperature of >=20 deg.C and a coating film composed of an inorganic material originated from an inorganic sol. The particle can be produced by coagulating a mixture of an inorganic sol. an emulsion of a polymer free from silanol group and having a glass-transition temperature of >=20 deg.C and an emulsion of a polymer having silanol group. When the product is compounded to a resin, it can easily be mixed with the resin at the interface to improve the internal stress relaxation property, adhesivity, surface durability and delustering property of the resin. A cured cement compounded with the particles has improved flexural strength, impact resistance and cracking resistance.
