Abstract:
To provide a portable information terminal, an IP address setting program and an IP address setting method in which the allocation of a fixed IP address in each portable information terminal and a DHCP server are made unnecessary.
The portable information terminal 1 for performing communication using an IP address by connecting a USB-LAN adaptor 2 is provided with a USB interface 15 connected to the USB-LAN adaptor 2 and a control part 11 for reading in an IP address previously stored in the USB-LAN adaptor 2 through the USB interface 15 and setting the IP address as an IP address of the portable information terminal.
