PURPOSE: To realize a dividing circuit with a high division coefficient with a configuration that matches expenses by introducing a large number of phase- shifted analog periodical signals into the dividing circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A dividing circuit EXE has an A/D converter(ADC) and has rectification circuits G1 and G2 for guiding total-wave rectification signals U3 and U4 from analog periodical signals U1 and U2. A signal U3 with a signal value that is slightly larger or is equal to a DC voltage component U0 of signals U1 and U2 is inputted to one input terminal REF1 of the ADC, and a signal U4 with a signal value that is slightly smaller than or is equal to a DC voltage component U0 of the signals U1 and U2 is inputted to the other input terminal REF2 of the ADC. Also, the DC voltage component U0 is applied to the ADC at an input terminal JN. The ADC is an N-bit converter and generates N-bit binary word B1 from the signals U3 and U4 and the reference signal U0. The data work indicates the middle value of the one signal period of a scanning signal and separates an analog periodical scanning signal that depends on the position.
