Abstract:
PURPOSE:To output desired position data without causing an error by counting a displacement in every period, based on two periodical signals corresponding to a physical displacement. CONSTITUTION:2-phase pluses Pa, Pb obtained by a pulse-coverting circuit 27 are inputted to a U/D counter 21, and counting data Cs in every period of 2-phase signal Sa, Sb is obtained. This data Cs is held in a latching circuit 22 together with the pulses Pa, Pb, and simultaneously, the signals Sa, Sb are held in a sample-hole circuit 23. These held signals Sa, Sb are brought to A/D conversion, and digital signals Da, Db are inputted to an interpolation arithmetic part 25, and converted to absolute position data Pa in a signal period by the arithmetic part 25. Subsequently, a digit aligning arithmetic circuit 28 obtains necessary position data P0, based on these data Cs, the data Ps in a period and the pulses Pa, Pb. In the circuit 28, by a state of the pulses Pa, Pb and the data Ps, in phase or out of phase of this data Ps and the data Cs is decided, and an error of the data Cs is corrected.
