To provide a positioning device capable of surely positioning a printing sheet before printing.
The positioning device has rollers 31a, 31b for pressing the other side-edge part 2e of the printing sheet 2, roller support members 32a, 32b for rotatably supporting the rollers 31a, 31b, rotating arms 33a, 33b, whose halfway parts are rotatably supported by a base 41 and whose one end sides are rotatably mounted to the roller support members 32a, 32b, and energizing members 51a, 51b which energize the rotating arms 33a, 33b in the direction that the rollers 31a, 31b press the other side-edge part 2e of the printing sheet 2. The rollers 31a, 31b press the other side-edge part 2e of the printing sheet 2 at a first position close to the other side-edge part 2e of the printing sheet 2 by the energizing force of the energizing members 51a, 51b. Next, the rotating arms 33a, 33b are rotated by a drive means. Consequently, the rollers 31a, 31b are moved to a second position apart from the other side-edge part 2e of the printing sheet 2 and press the other edge-side part 2e of the printing sheet 2 at the second position.
