Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording surely onto a medium by detecting the information of the medium surely regardless of the thickness thereof.
SOLUTION: A regulation member 50 is provided in a portion of a carrying passage for passing a relatively thin medium in order to regulate the movement (fluttering) of the medium in the thickness direction by differentiating the distance between reflex photosensors 41A and 41B disposed in the thickness direction of the medium, i.e., a cut sheet K, in order to detect the information concerning to each medium during carriage of the cut sheet K, and a sheet guide 25 for dividing the carrying passage including the sheet guide into a plurality of subsections in the widthwise direction of the medium and constituting the carrying carriage at each subsection together with the reflex photosensors 41A and 41B in the widthwise direction of the medium.
