Title:
POSITIONING METHOD AND APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3428811
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove stop position errors attributed to the direction of moving during the positioning by providing two light shielding plates to allow relatively adjusting of the positions of a plurality of comb teeth for intercepting the optical path of one transmission type photoelectric sensor with respect to the photoelectric sensor.
SOLUTION: A transmission type photoelectric sensor 1 as a portioning sensor is provided with a light shielding plate 2 for multi-point stopper having a plurality of comb teeth used to shield light on the right of a sensor and a light shielding plate 3 for multi-point stoppage used to shield light on the left of the sensor. The light shielding plates 2 and 3 are made separately adjustable at the respective right and left positions thereof with respect to the sensor 1 to obtain a desired stop internal X. There is no need for making the stop interval of the plates equal to allow the setting of the stop interval optionally depending on the determination of whether light is shielded on the right or on the left of the sensor 1 at a stop position. Thus, for example, even in a sensor the switching point of which is not at a 50% position of luminous flux, the adjustment of the light shielding plates is performed separately in any direction of shielding light to remove errors attributed to the direction of shielding light thereby enabling accurately positioning.
