Abstract:
To provide a technology for easily and accurately installing a target to a vehicle that is used for correcting an axis displacement amount of an onboard sensor.SOLUTION: There is provided a positioning method for installing a target 30 to a vehicle at a prescribed position. The positioning method places a linear first frame 10 against side faces of front and rear tires 2 of a vehicle 1 and installs the linear first frame so that a longitudinal direction of the first frame 10 is parallel to the side faces of the front and rear tires 2. Thereafter, the position of the first frame 10 is adjusted in the longitudinal direction using a jig so that a position of a center point 11 shown on the top face of the first frame 10 overlaps a position of a marker 12 shown at a prescribed position on the top face. Then, a linear second frame 20 is attached and connected to a prescribed position of the first frame 10 so that the longitudinal direction of the second frame 20 is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the first frame 10, and a board 40 that includes a target 30 for axis adjustment is attached to a prescribed position of the second frame 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
