PURPOSE: To obtain a toner excellent in environmental stability, stability of a charged state and fixability and capable of forming a clear developed image free from fog, etc., even by high-speed copying.

CONSTITUTION: Toner particles consisting essentially of a resin binder consisting of 30-70 pts.wt. styrene-acrylic copolymer having a number average mol.wt. of 3,000-15,000 and 70-30 pts.wt. styrene-acrylic copolyer having a number average mol.wt. of 100,000-400,000, a colorant and negative charge type polyolefin wax are mixed with fine silica particles of pH6.5-9.0 having a hydrophobic degree of 55-85.
