Abstract:
To provide an active material with continuous voltage change in charge/discharge and high capacity.
A morphous lithium-containing nickel oxide represented by chemical formula, LixNi1-yMyO2 (0.25<x≤2, M is at least one element selected from Co, Mn, Al, P, B, and S, 0≤y<1) is used as an active material. The amorphous lithium-containing nickel oxide is manufactured by mixing at least one salt of a phosphate, a borate, and a silicate with a lithium salt and nickel hydroxide or nickel oxyhydroxide, and heat-treating the mixture.
