PURPOSE: To provide a powder supplying device with which the bulk density of the powder within a screw feeder can be kept constant regardless of the quantity of the powder within a hopper and consequently the powder can be supplied in a constant quantity.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a hopper 12 with a bottom, which stores powder (P) and which consists of a lower maim body 13 and an upper main body 14, a screw feeder 4, which is installed horizontally at the lower part of the hopper 12 and discharges the powder (p), and a driving mechanism 6 for driving the screw feeder 4, while a part of side walls 14a of the lower main body 13 and the upper main body 14 is inclined against the horizontal plane. In this case, the inclined surface of the side wall of the upper main body 14 may be made detachable, while a straightening member, whose middle part is projected and moreover whose both ends are opened so as to cover the lower opening of the upper main body 14, may be installed. In addition, the hopper 12 may be supported, in a plane perpendicular to the inclined plane of the lower main body 13, in such a manner that the inclined plane can be rotated toward the side in which the inclined plane is installed.
