In a power converter for a railroad vehicle, a ventilation chamber 2 and an airtight chamber 3 are formed on both sides of a heat receiving plate 1, a heat radiating fin is arranged for the ventilation chamber 2, and a converter composed of a switching element, the peripheral circuit parts, and the power unit including an inverter are disposed. A structure frame 41 is mounted to the heat receiving plate 1, a column support 42 which passes through the structure frame and is integrated with wheels 44 is provided on the structure frame 41, and a spring 43 is formed on the column support 42 passing through it.
