Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of surely preventing overcharge or overdischarge of a power storage device using a plurality of storage battery packs composed of a plurality of unit cells.SOLUTION: A power management system includes: a PCS integration board 12 to which power from an external commercial power supply 10 is supplied; a power conditioner (PCS) 14; a total storage battery unit management section 16; a system management section 18; a total power monitoring device 20; and a storage battery system 22. The total storage battery unit management section 16 detects voltage of unit cells composing the storage battery system 22 and series voltage of a power storage section 24 composed of storage battery packs connected in series; and stops charge when any of these has exceeded an upper limit value and stops discharge when it is lower than a lower limit value.
