Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To objectively achieve travel stability of a vehicle while no sense of discomfort such as a free running feeling (such feeling as a vehicle advances further against driver's will) is not given to a user, in a vehicle that runs on a road surface of low μ (road surface of relatively low friction factor μ).
SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle is provided with a motor generator, a drive shaft to which the power outputted from it is transmitted, and a battery which can be charged based on a prescribed regenerative control characteristics with the electric energy generated at a drive source by receiving a kinetic energy of the drive shaft when the vehicle slows down. The regenerative control characteristics of the motor generator is changed depending on whether the vehicle is in coasting or not as well as depending on the level of friction factor of the road surface on which the front wheel and the rear wheel connected to the drive shaft contact.
