Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply controller which can reduce the current consumption of a vehicle when electrical parts are not used by preventing the occurrence of a vehicle fire caused by the short circuit of a power cable and the failure of a load driving element itself and detecting the short circuit and disconnection of a driven load and, at the same time, informing the outside of the same.
SOLUTION: A power distributor 4 is connected to a power line 3 from a battery 1 so as to distribute the power supplied from the battery 1 and the power lines 5, 6, and 7 of different systems are wired from the distributor 4. In addition, power supply terminals 8, 11, 14, 18, and 21 are provided at the ends of the power lines 5, 6, and 7 so that electric power can be supplied to various kinds of electrical load devices 9, 12, 15, 17, and 20. Therefore, the space to be occupied by fuses and relays become unnecessary and a maintenance-free power supply controller is obtained. In addition, the number of wire harnesses can be reduced and the occurrence of a vehicle fire caused by a short-circuiting accident can be eliminated. Moreover, the service time can be shortened and troubles can be detected in early stages, because the outside can be informed of the states of electric parts.
