Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a power unit for an underwater runner in which lithium does not reversely flow into an oxidizer supply tube after the operation is finished.
CONSTITUTION: The power unit for an underwater runner comprises a closed Rankine cycle type engine which has a boiler 1 for generating steam by the heat generated from burning means which receives oxidizer via an oxidizer supply tube 9, a turbine 2 for rotatably driving a propeller by operating with the steam from the boiler 1, a condenser 4 for condensing the exhaust steam of the turbine 2, and a feed water pump 5 for supplying water from the condenser 4 to the boiler 1, wherein a filter is provided at the site near the burning means of the tube 9.
