PURPOSE: To prepare a cabbage roll having excellent appearance and taste, by wrapping a stuffing composed of minced meat (e.g. beef), fried and minced onion, cooked rice, water and a seasoning with a boiled cabbage leaf, heating the product in a seasoned soup and subjecting to e.g. freezing.
CONSTITUTION: A stuffing prepared by mixing minced meat (e.g. beef or chicken), fried and minced onion, soft-boiled rice, some quantity of water and salt and a seasoning (e.g. pepper) is wrapped with a leaf of cabbage prepared by removing a core from a cabbage, reboiling the cabbage, boiling for about 2.5min, cooling the product and peeling off a leaf from the cabbage. The wrapped stuffing is heated in a seasoned soup for about 2hr and cooled or frozen to obtain a cabbage roll cookable in a short time and having excellent preservability.
