PURPOSE: To obtain a multiple screen having a thick ink film, capable of obtaining a sharp image and free from the shift between the screens thereof, by superposing a holding screen to a fine mesh screen provided to a frame body under tension in a tensioned state.

CONSTITUTION: The peripheral edge of a coarse mesh screen 9 is held by the grippers 8 of a stretcher 5 and a frame body 1 is raised under such a state that the screen 9 is uniformly tensioned while an adhesive is penetrated into the peripheral edge of the screen 9 positioned on the frame body 2 provided to said frame body 1 and, after drying, the screen 12 is cut along the outer periphery of the frame body 1. Subsequently, a heat sensitive tape 14 is arranged on the peripheral adge of the holding screen 9 and brought into contact with the printing screen 10 provided to the stretcher 5 under tension by a raising and falling apparatus. In this state, the part of the heat sensitive tape 14 is heated by an iron to integrally secure both screens 9, 10 and, thereafter, the printing screen 10 is cut along the outer periphery of the frame body 1 to obtain a multiple screen 12.
