Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain polyamide fibers having improved antistatic properties without the coloring, by melt spinning a mixture of polyethylene oxydiglycolic acid (an alkali metallic salt) with a polyamide resin.

CONSTITUTION: A mixture of preferably 0.01W10wt% polyethylene oxydiglycolic acid, preferably having 300W10,000 molecular weight, of the formula[(n) is an integer 4W300]and/or an alkali metallic salt thereof with a polyamide resin is melt spun to give the aimed polyamide fibers.

EFFECT: The yarn breakage in spinning is remarkably reduced without the deterioration of fibrous strength. The poor gripping of pellets i spinning machines is prevented.
