Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin useful as a charge transporting polymer material for an organic photoreceptor by polycondensation using a monomer having a hydroxyl group-protected triarylamine structure as a diphenol compound component.
SOLUTION: A polycondensation is effected using, as a diphenol compound component, a monomer (e.g. a compound of the formula) having a triarylamine structure with its hydroxyl group protected preferably as a sulfonyl or acyl ester. Preferably the monomer having a triarylamine structure with its hydroxyl group protected is subjected to the polycondensation reaction with the protecting group removed. Thus, a problem of occurrence with time of a by-produced coloring impurity caused by the triarylamine structure of a diol compound used can be solved by maintaining stability in spite of lapse of time by protecting the dial compound, and removing the protecting group in polymerization.
