Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester amide in a short time, in high yield, by the thermal reaction of a 2,2'-bis(cyclic iminoether) compound and a dicarboxylic acid compound.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A 2,2'-bis(cyclic iminoether) compound of formula (Y is bibalent organic group, pref. ethylene or trimethylene) is reacted with (B) a dicarboxlic acid (e.g. adipic acid) at e.g. 50W280°C. The molar ratio of B/A is pref. 0.9W1.1. The polyester thus prepared has high solvent resistance.
