Punch ridge lines 3d, 3e, which are formed by an upper face part 3a and side face parts 3b, 3c of a punch 3, are curved, within the range corresponding to an excess metal part 6 of a material 4, toward the end parts of the punch 3 to the outsides in the width direction of the punch 3, and the material 4 is pressed into a cavity 9 along the punch ridge lines 3d, 3e from the beginning of forming. Further, a drawing profile 8, which is set by the punch 3 and the die 1, is curved to the outsides in the width directions of the punch 3 and a recess part 1a, and the material 4 is subjected to intimate forming along the drawing profile 8 by the die 1 from the beginning of forming, so that the excess metal part 6 is curved toward the end parts thereof to the outsides in the width directions of the punch 3 and a recess part 1a.
