Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack for rectangular cells, capable of absorbing the expansion of enclosed cells responding to the expansion.
SOLUTION: This battery pack is of a type which is capable of absorbing the expansion of rectangular cells effected during the charging and discharging cycles of the rectangular cells. The battery pack has a resin case 1 that arranges multiple rectangular cells in predetermined places on the same plane interposing each pair of positioning ribs 4, 5 between them, and on the inside surface of the resin case 1, a recessed part having almost an arc-shaped cross section and absorbing the expansion of the cells is formed at each place facing the side surface of each of the rectangular cell between the positioning ribs 4, 5.
