Abstract:

To prepare a tape or a sheet which strongly adheres to its own back side without substantially exhibiting tackiness to human skin and article surfaces.

On one side of a substrate 2, such as a tape or sheet, an adhesive layer 3 is formed from a composition prepared by compounding 100 pts.wt. elastomer with 80 pts.wt. or more but less than 200 pts.wt. component comprising a compatible tackifying resin having a number average mol.wt. of 1,000-3,000 alone or together with an inorganic filler. On the back side of the substrate, there is a surface layer 4 formed from the elastomer or an elastomer of the same kind. The adhesive layer and the back side surface layer do not substantially exhibit tackiness to human skin and article surfaces, while the adhesive layer can strongly adhere to its own back side.
