Abstract:

To provide a printer capable of improving transfer efficiency or a transfer speed from a storage part for correcting a positional deviation of a storage head.

The printer of the present invention includes: a light emitting element chip having a plurality of light emitting elements; a recording head where the plurality of light emitting element chips are arranged; correction data acquisition means for acquiring a printing position deviation due to an installation error of the recording head and a mounting variation of the light emitting element chips and generating correction information; first correction means for correcting the positional deviation by the unit of the integral multiple of 2 or larger of a data correction unit, on the basis of the correction information from the correction data acquisition means; and second correction means for correcting the positional deviation that image data corrected in the first correction means has by the data correction unit, on the basis of the correction information from the correction data acquisition means. Thus, transfer efficiency or a transfer speed from a storage part utilized by the first correction means can be improved.
