CONSTITUTION: The carrier 19 mounting a printer head 7 is guided by guides 20, 21 and one 21 of the guides is fixed to movable supporters 24, 25. When printing is not in motion, a plunger 41 is attracted and held by a permanent magnet of a driving means 42, the movable supporters 24, 25 revolve against a spring member 34 and is held at the stop position. At this time, the printer head 7 on the carrier 19 is separated from a platen, a pinch roller 28 is from a paper feed roller 29 and it is easy to insert a blank 46. If magnetic force of the permanent magnet of the driving means 42 is erased in a printing time, the movable supporters 24, 25 are held elastically by the spring member 34 at the position of printing motion.
