PURPOSE: To provide a printing method capable of continuously and stably performing accurate printing within a short repeating time.

CONSTITUTION: A printing method is constituted of a process filling the grooves 3a of an intaglio 3 with ink 2 containing a solvent, a process transferring ink from the intaglio 3 to a transfer member 4 being a roller having silicone rubber on the surface thereof, a process printing the ink on the transfer member 4 on a material 5 to be printed and a process bringing a solvent absorbing material 6 into contact with the surface of the silicone rubber under pressure. By this constitution, the penetration of the solvent in ink into the transfer member 4 is prevented and accurate printing can be performed.
